Goldman Sachs Whitehall Fund

Partnered in the acquisition and ownership of the 23-hotel Wyndham portfolio with Goldman Sachs (GS) and Highgate Holdings. Worked directly with GS on the 1,310-room Marriott Waikiki Resort and Spa and the 1,230-room Hyatt Regency Waikiki Resort and Spa, while stepping in as asset manager for their positions at the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua and Aruba Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino. Asset managed the Aruba Marriott from 2009-2012, realizing an 11.1% CAAG RevPAR growth rate and net operating income growing 15.9% CAAG to over $22.7M. Maximized the Hyatt Regency Waikiki growth ahead of the $450M sale of the asset to Blackstone in mid-2013 – including RevPAR increases of 3.7% CAAG from 2008-2012, while net operating income grew 6.7% CAAG to $32.6M.

DiamondRock Hospitality

Brought in a new internal team and instituted an updated asset management platform that drove RevPAR 12.5% in 2014 and an additional 5.1% in 2015, while Comparable Adjusted EBITDA grew 275 and 113 basis points, respectively. Instituted five-year capital opportunity assessments to accurately delivery market projections and competitive analyses. Conducted due diligence on positioning opportunities with the Acquisitions team, and following the acquisition of the Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort and Spa in late 2014 the team realized revenue growth of $500K, while Gross Operating Profit increased $5.0M in 2015.

Park Hotels & Resorts

Developed an owner-centric asset management platform resulting in RevPAR growing by an average of 1.83% from 2017-2019, and Comparable Hotel Adjusted EBITDA margin growth of approximately 100 basis points. Guided the Doubletree Fess Parker conversion to the Hilton Santa Barbara with first year growth in 2019 of 19.5% in RevPAR and over 700 basis points of Hotel Adjusted EBITDA growth to 45.6%. Was instrumental in the approval for the up-branding of the 1,009-room Hilton Bonnet Creek to the Hilton Signia brand. And deeply involved with Park’s $2.5B acquisition of Chesapeake Lodging Trust in 2019, which transformed Park’s portfolio diversification including brand, geography and management companies.
